Blanket scarves are one of the hot fashion accessories you can not live without during the chilly seasons. Scarves can add a pop of color to your outfit while keeping your neck nice and warm. I was never a fan of scarves until last fall and winter. I was always so unsure of how to wear them. To use a scarf to add a punch to an outfit, opt for patterns or bold colors that bring together your outfit. Having a few neutral tone scarves is always a good option as well because they can be worn with just about anything you have.
4 of my favorite ways to wear a blanket scarf.
Fold the scarf in half, creating a rectangle. Bring the scarf around your neck, leaving one side slightly longer than the other. Grab the top corner from the side that is longer, pull it over to the other side and tuck under the scarf (be sure to tuck it enough so that is doesn’t slip back down). Then repeat with the other side of scarf.
First take the scarf and bunch it up so it becomes a much fuller version of the regular scarf. Then bring around neck leaving one end short. Then wrap the long end around neck and viola.
Chic and Simple
Start with scarf folded into a triangle then bunch it up and place around neck. Nice and easy way to sleek things up. This for those easy on the go looks when you need to add a little oomph to your outfit.
Tie a loop at one end of your scarf and leave it loose. Slip the other end of the scarf into the loop. Tighten it to your liking.
Remember that a scarf is an accessory so you don’t want to overload your look with necklaces that will be covered by the scarf. Wear complementary jewelry pieces, no matchy matchy. Try adding a great stylish pair of earrings and a few bracelets.
